Time for another installment of Fun Thursdays.

Today, I ran across a game on miniclip.com entitled Quick Fire Pool

It involves a time limit of two minutes and you have to pocket as many balls as you can within that time limit. Here is the skinny on the game:

You get 10 seconds extra for a pocketed ball.
You get 20 seconds taken away for your first scratch.
If you scratch again on the following ball you get 40 seconds taken away.
Once you are down to one ball remaining, you get a new rack of balls.

One of the hardest sins to deal with at times can be pride. Pride can rip us apart and leave us feeling full of ourselves and then drop us to the lowest darkest places of humanity. Check out this quote from Benjamin Franklin regarding pride:

“There is perhaps no one of natural passions so hard to subdue as pride. Disguise it. Struggle with it. Stifle it. Mortify it as much as one pleases. It is still alive, and will every now and then peep out and show itself….Even if I could conceive that I had completely overcome it, I should probably be proud of my humility.“
