Going All The Way

Thursday, September 27th, 2007   book review

41RddBExzlL._SS500_.jpg Hey, you youth students who are eventually going to get married someday, (the statistic is around 90% currently), you might want to head to your local bookstore and pick up this new book “Going All The Way” by Lifechurch.tv pastor Craig Groeschel. It has been over six years of marriage for Cara and I, and I wish we had spent more time developing our marriage than we have. After reading Groeschel’s “Confessions of a Pastor,” I can’t wait for this one to come out. Check it out.

What is the Best Question Ever?

We’re currently in the middle of a study through Andy Stanley’s book, “The Best Question Ever” and as we journey through the thought process of Andy Stanley as he takes a look back at his life, I am forced to look at my past and ask myself the Best Question Ever. Here it is, I’m going to spoil the book for you. The question is: What is the wise thing for me to do? In light of my current circumstances and situations, what is the wise thing for me to do? In light of my past, my present, my future, what is the wise thing for me to do?

The greatest mistake you’ve ever made in your life could’ve been avoided had you asked this question and then acted on the answer. I know mine could have. The more I read this book, the more I wanted to live by the advice it offered. The greatest thing is that it’s straight out of scripture.

Think about it this week. As you make decisions regarding your future, your present, your finances, your job, your schoolwork, your friends, your family.

Ask yourself, “What is the wise thing for me to do?”

And then go and act on the answer.
